Courtney is not a happy sunshine sort of girl, she's sarcastic, rude and easily irritated by those around her (Clearly stated by her in the first issue). Courtney rarely fits into any real social model and is usually mocked and taunted for it.
Thanks to that Courtney rarely trusts people, tending to give nasty comments and retorts rather than open herself up for any sort of meaningful friendship, preferring to be alone or with her uncle A. Mostly she reads through her uncles books, learning magic. The only person she shows real fondness for is her uncle Aloysius, showing more emotion towards him compared to anyone else. Most of her emotions tend to stick to angry, sarcastic, and generally wary of people in general. Her uncle is the only real person who sees past any of these defalt emotions.
She is a witch in training, even if she doesn't go to any sort of school like Harry potter would have she certainly isn't weak. Far from it, she tends to use her powers to fix what she thinks needs to be fixed, tempting fate with her pursuits or helping her idiotic classmates. Though her curiosity tends to get her in more trouble than it's worth, she has a reckless abandon when it comes to learning new spells, it's best not to get in her way. Or on her badside, she has quite a few connections which could get you eaten alive.
